Worm gear reducer usage

  1. After 200~300 hours of operation, the oil should be changed for the first time. In the future use, the quality of the oil should be checked regularly. For the mixed impurities or deteriorated oil, it must be replaced in time. Under normal circumstances, for a long-term continuous work reducer, replace the new oil with 5000 hours of operation or once a year, and the reducer that has been deactivated for a long time should be replaced with new oil before re-running. The reducer should be added with the same oil as the original grade. It should not be mixed with different grades of oil. The oils with the same grade and different viscosity are allowed to be mixed.
  2. When changing oil, wait for the reducer to cool down without burning danger, but still keep warm, because after the cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases and it is difficult to drain the oil. Note: The power supply of the transmission should be cut off to prevent unintentional energization;
  3. During work, when the temperature rise of the oil exceeds 80 °C or the temperature of the oil pool exceeds 100 °C and abnormal noise is generated, stop using it. Check the cause, remove the fault, and replace the lubricating oil before continuing operation. ;
  4. The user should have reasonable rules for the use and maintenance. The operation of the reducer and the problems found in the inspection should be carefully recorded. The above provisions should be strictly implemented.

Worm gear reducer maintenance

When the grease is selected according to the load of the reducer bearing load, the grease with a small penetration should be selected for the heavy load. When working under high pressure, in addition to the small penetration, it also has a higher oil film strength and extreme pressure function. Calcium-based greases have good water resistance, are not easily emulsified and deteriorated by water, and can be used for lubrication of various mechanical parts in a humid environment or in contact with water. When selecting the grease according to the working temperature, the main indicators should be the dropping point, oxidation stability and low temperature function. The dropping point can generally be used to evaluate the high temperature function. The actual working temperature of the bearing should be lower than the dropping point of 10-20 °C. Synthetic grease should be used at a temperature below the drop point of 20-30 °C.

Different lubricants are not allowed to be mixed with each other. The position of the oil level plug, drain plug and ventilator is determined by the mounting position.

(1) Oil level check

  1. Turn off the power to prevent electric shock. Waiting for cooling;
  2. Remove the oil level screw plug to check whether the oil is full;
  3. Install the oil level screw plug.

(2) Oil inspection

  1. Turn off the power to prevent electric shock. Waiting for cooling;
  2. Open the oil drain plug and take the oil sample;
  3. Check the viscosity index of the oil: If the oil is obviously turbid, it is recommended to replace it as soon as possible;

4, with oil level screw plug: check the oil level, is qualified; install oil level screw plug.

(3) Oil replacement

After cooling, the viscosity of the oil increases and it is difficult to drain the oil. The oil should be changed at the operating temperature.

  1. Turn off the power to prevent electric shock. Waiting for cooling down without burning danger;

Note: Keep warm while changing oil;

  1. Place an oil pan under the oil drain plug;
  2. Open the oil level screw plug, the aerator and the oil drain plug;
  3. Remove all oil;
  4. Install the oil drain plug;
  5. Inject new oil of the same grade;
  6. The amount of oil should be consistent with the installation location;
  7. Check the oil level at the oil level screw plug;
  8. Tighten the oil level plug and ventilator.
